I am working with Steve Weatherley to build an Archipelago 40 aluminium power catamaran. I am interested in innovative systems, including microturbine generators (not really possible yet), parallel hybrid propulsion (serial is too heavy/expensive), computer-assisted maneuvering/docking, skin cooling, CPPs, variable-capacity aircon, DC-powered aircon and watermaker, beneficial uses for the waste heat in cabin air exhaust and in diesel exhaust (e.g. from hydronic heating boiler), safer methods for transfers between yacht and tender, better anti-fouling systems, active ventilation year-round, and extreme safety on-deck. On my budget, only some of those are going to be possible.
